Abstracts

EN
Poland is a country, in which biological diversity has been well retained.
This concerns both arable fields and areas economically exploited in other ways. This results
both from the small size of most farms, relatively extensive and traditional farming techniques,
and low-scale chemicalization of agriculture. The species biological diversity of segetal weeds
is manifest in the existence of 404 species composing 207 genera and 49 families in Poland.
The threat posed to the segetal flora is quite severe because it concerns 100 species, which
is about 25% of its whole number.
