Determining the Optimal Net of Mid-Field Depressions for Preserving Wildly Growing Species in Agricultural Landscape

Employing a developed equation for determining the coefficient of
naturalness a valorization of 55 randomly selected mid-field depressions occurring in the
South Kujawy region was carried out to estimate the naturalness of their floras. While
investigating the dependence between the number of species and increase in areas of
"kettle lakes" it was calculated that at least 20 mid-field depressions of total area not
smaller than 14.5 ha per each 10 km² should be preserved to protect 90% of plants
growing in the investigated habitats.
