Surgical treatment and rehabilitation of a patient with metastases in the bones - a case study

Surgical treatment of pathological fractures and impending long bone fractures as well as early rehabilitation reduce pain, improve life comfort and enable everyday activities. The study showed a case of a patient with a pathological fracture of the humerus due to cancer. The patient underwent surgical ostheosyntesis of the fracture followed by rehabilitation which was continued when the patient returned home.

Leczenie operacyjne złamań patologicznych i zagrażających złamań kości długich oraz wczesna rehabilitacja zmniejszają dolegliwości bólowe, poprawiają komfort życia i umożliwiają wykonywanie codziennych czynności. Przedstawiono przypadek pacjenta ze złamaniem patologicznym kości ramiennej na skutek choroby nowotworowej. U pacjenta wykonano zespolenie operacyjne złamania i rozpoczęto rehabilitację, którą kontynuowano w warunkach domowych.
