In this paper the author presented attempts at applying selected GIS methods for verification and visualization of H. Klatkowa’s paleogeomorphological concept (1965, 1972, 1996). Conducted research confirmed the existence of verge steps in the morphometric image of the region and also showed a high precision of archival cartographic materials. Studies also show that the SRTM-3 digital elevation model, apart from visualization, can also be used to some extent for geomorphometrical analyses.

W artykule przedstawiono próby zastosowania wybranych metod GIS do weryfikacji i wizualizacji koncepcji paleogeomorfologicznej H. Klatkowej (1965, 1972, 1996). Prze-prowadzone prace potwierdziły istnienie stopni krawędziowych w obrazie morfome-trycznym obszaru, a także ukazały dużą precyzję wykonania archiwalnych materiałów kartograficznych. Badania wykazują również, że numeryczny model terenu SRTM3, oprócz zastosowań wizualizacyjnych, może również służyć w pewnym zakresie do analiz geomorfometrycznych.
