Lyme disease is the most common tick-borne disease caused by bacteria belonging to the group of spirochetes. Depending on the form of the disease, the occurrence of relapses and the therapy regimen used, the treatment may be long-term. During the therapy, antibiotics from various groups are used. In some cases, treatment with the same antibiotic or a given group of antibiotics is used. The descriptions of tetracycline group hypersensitivity reaction are very limited. In this article, we report the case of the patient allergic to minocycline in whom cross-reactive hypersensitivity to doxycycline was found. The occurrence of hypersensitivity reactions to tetracyclines and the occurrence of cross-reactivity was discussed. Moreover, the possibility of inducing tolerance to antibiotics that cause hypersensitivity reactions was considered.

Choroba z Lyme jest najczęstszą chorobą przenoszoną przez kleszcze, wywołaną przez bakterie należące do grupy krętków. W zależności od postaci choroby, występowania nawrotów i stosowanego schematu leczenia, leczenie może być długotrwałe. Podczas terapii stosowane są antybiotyki z różnych grup. W niektórych przypadkach stosuje się leczenie tym samym antybiotykiem lub daną grupą antybiotyków. Reakcja nadwrażliwości w grupie tetracyklinowej jest bardzo mało znana i opisana. W tym artykule opisujemy przypadek pacjenta uczulonego na minocyklinę, u którego stwierdzono nadwrażliwość krzyżową na doksycyclinę. Omówiono występowanie reakcji nadwrażliwości na tetracykliny i występowanie reakcji krzyżowej. Ponadto rozważono możliwość indukcji tolerancji na antybiotyki, które powodują reakcje nadwrażliwości.
