W pracy eksperymentalnej przeprowadzono chromatograficzną analizę substancji lotnych "lutuku", napoju alkoholowego produkowanego z manioku. Zastosowano nowoczesna technik« analizy na chromatografie gazowym, co pozwoliło opisać (wykryć) niektóre substancje śladowe występujące w badanych napojach. Za pomocą spektrofotometru masowego zidentyfikowano większość rozdzielonych lotnych substancji lutuku. Ponadto, autor opisuje wpływ na organizm człowieka etanolu, metanolu i cyjanowodoru.
