This article summarizes a master thesis on the use of Raman spectroscopy to analyze ordinary chondrites, a specific type of meteorite. The research focuses on non-destructive techniques using a Raman spectrometer developed by a student team. This spectrometer is designed for mobile research platforms, such as the Martian rover analogue Scorpio 7, to evaluate how effectively Raman spectrometry can be used to study extraterrestrial rock samples.
