The 21 st Congress of the Polish Neuropsychological Society, entitled Neuropsychology and Neurologopedics: brain and language in the process of learning the world, was held at the Pedagogical University of Krakow between 30 November and 1 December 2018. During the two-day meeting many new issues were raised of the latest results of psychological, medical and speech therapy research in treatment of a patient with brain dysfunctions. The sessions were summarized during a discussion panel. The Congress was received with great interest by both scholars and therapists (psychologists, speech/language therapists, pedagogists) and teachers from all over Poland. The president of the Polish Neuropsychological Society, Prof. Maria Pąchalska, awarded the highest prizes award of the society for the outstanding contribution in neuropsyhology, that is: 1. Copernicus Prize 2018 with a bronze figure made by the sculptor artist prof. Józef Wąsacz from the Drawing, Painting and Sculpture Department, Faculty of Architecture, Tadeusz Kościuszko University of Technology, Krakow, Poland. To date, the Society has honored this award with 506 scientists from around the World, including Nobel Prize winner Prof. Stanley B. Prusiner with Copernicus Prize 2010. 2. Virtuti Medicinali 2018 diplomas for outstanding therapeutic and organizational work promoting the development of society. A General Meeting of the Polish Neuropsychological Society was held after two fruitful days of sessions and scientific discussions.
