This article deals with self-cognition and future planning as specific developmental tasks of adolescence. Adolescents’ decisions concerning future are the main elements one’s life concept. Without making life decisions (concerning education, profession, close relationship) one could not achieve life goals. Usually people do not make only one decision but ‘a chain’ of decisions. These decision chains are called sequence decisions and they demand perspective thinking, i.e. perspective strategy of decision (Kozielecki, 1992). Educational and professional decisions of adolescents are the examples of sequence decisions but also they may be perceived as decisions made in risk situation.
