The influence of the process temperature from 85°C to 95°C, the content of phosphates and sulphates in the wet process phosphoric acid (about 22-36 wt% P2O5 and about 2-9 wt% SO42-) and the addition of αCaSO4·0.5H2O crystallization nuclei (from 10% to 50% in relation to CaSO4·2H2O) on the transformation of calcium sulphate dihydrate to hemihydrate has been determined. The wet process phosphoric acid and phosphogypsum from the industrial plant was utilized. They were produced by reacting sulphuric acid with phosphate rock (Tunisia) in the DH-process. The X-ray diffraction analysis was used to determine the phase composition and fractions of various forms of calcium sulphates in the samples and the degree of conversion of CaSO4·2H2O to αCaSO4·0.5H2O and CaSO4. It was found that the transformation of CaSO4·2H2O to αCaSO4·0.5H2O should be carried out in the presence of αCaSO4·0.5H2O crystallization nuclei as an additive (in the amount of 20% in relation to CaSO4·2H2O), at temperatures 90±2°C, in the wet process phosphoric acid containing the sulphates and phosphates in the range of 4±1 wt% and 27±1 wt%, respectively.

In order to initiate hairy root culture initiation cotyledons and hypocotyls of Calendula officinalis L. were infected with Agrobacterium rhizogenes strain ATCC 15834 or the same strain containing pCAMBIA 1381Z vector with β-glucuronidase reporter gene under control of promoter of NIK (Nematode Induced Kinase) gene. The efficiency of induction of hairy roots reached 33.8% for cotyledons and 66.6% for hypocotyls together for both transformation experiments. Finally, eight control and nine modified lines were established as a long-term culture. The hairy root cultures showed the ability to synthesize oleanolic acid mainly (97%) as glycosides; control lines contained it at the average 8.42 mg · g-1 dry weight in tissue and 0.23 mg · dm-3 in medium; modified lines: 4.59 mg · g-1 for the tissue, and 0.48 mg · dm-3 for the medium. Additionally lines showed high positive correlation between dry/fresh weight and oleanolic acid concentration in tissue. Using the Killiani mixture in acidic hydrolysis of oleanolic acid glycosides released free aglycones that were partially acetylated in such conditions.

The thesis researches Christmas rites in Bojkivshchyna during Ukraine’s independence and is based upon analysis of scientific literature and a large amount of information sources. The author found out that motivation for many Christmas ceremonies was changed or lost; many rites cease to be actively used altogether. However it is proved that the basis of Christmas rites in Bojkivshchyna is retained better if compared to other Ukrainian regions. The paper describes and analyses reasons for changes and transformations of the traditional Bojkos’ winter rituals.
