Urban water resources are some of the main places where microorganisms can reproduce and where people can get easily infected. For these reasons, pools must be sterilized continuously. This can only be done if the water quality of the pool is in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs. Monitoring water quality in real-time gives an instant response opportunity. With the software prepared using the. Net architecture, real-time temperature, pH, and chlorine content values of a pool were transferred to a database. Swimming pool water quality was then evaluated and compared with the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs standards via the expert system technique, which is one of the artificial intelligence technologies. In this study, results of instant evaluation of the water quality made for water resources via telemetric systems, are reported. Additionally, a remotely-controlled dosing operation was performed.

Nowadays, a great part of energy consumption belongs to lighting products. For this reason, lighting fixtures that consume less energy but perform more efficiently are manufactured. LEDs are the latest product of this development. LEDs have advantages over traditional lighting systems, such as being efficient, long lasting and environment friendly. Recently, with the development of technology, the image processing techniques are used in various fields. Image processing-based fault detection systems have become a frequently referenced solution in industrial automation systems due to the rapid analysis ability and high level of accuracy. Along with the use of cameras in the photometric measurements, it has become possible to make multiple measurements on the same photograph. In this study, control automation has been developed to determine the photometric properties in LED boards, used in the production of LED lighting fixtures. Improper LEDs are detected by checking colour and brightness of all LEDs on the LED board by means of a computer-controlled system.

Visual method of hair analysis in medicine is called phototrichogrametry. Method is based on the interpretation of two image showing the physical changes of the hair. The photos are taken in green light, exposing both thin and thick hairs. By the help of the software the density of facial hair is determined and intensity of growth is assessed. Length increment can be approximately determined also. standardization, objectivity, reliability, decreasing errors and saving time make this method valuable healing experiment platform.

In this study, color rendering index and gamut area index related to the light quality of a light source are compared. Color rendering index is a measure that demonstrates how much a light source reveals colors in nature. In color rendering index measurements, average of reference colors is taken to obtain an overall measurement value. As to gamut area index measurement, the result is obtained through the field measurement formed by the results of reference colors in the color space.

One of the requirements in machine vision applications is that the light source and the environment are selected correctly. If the analyzed object is not properly illuminated, it is inadequate for obtaining the desired result using the captured images. A correct lighting luminaire allows to distinguish the examined object from the environment it interacts with and ensures that its attributes are obtained correctly. In this study an intelligent dynamic lighting system for illumination of a closed area has been developed. The tested luminaire has three arms. Accelerometer readings are used for positioning and orientation. Using the developed system, the positions of the armature can be estimated by bipolar sigmoid technique, according to the point the user wants to illuminate. The system measures the light level with 72 LDR, calibrated with a luxmetre.

Spamming is the act of abusing an electronic messaging system by sending unsolicited bulk messages. Filtering of these messages is merely another line of defence and does not prevent spam messages from circulating in email systems. This problem causes users to distrust email systems, suspect even legitimate emails and leads to substantial investment in technologies to counter the spam problem. Spammers threaten users by abusing the lack of accountability and verification features of communicating entities. To contribute to the fight against spamming, a cloud-based system that analyses the email server logs and uses predictive analytics with machine learning to build trust identities that model the email messaging behavior of spamming and legitimate servers has been designed. The system constructs trust models for servers, updating them regularly to tune the models. This study proposed that this approach will not only minimize the circulation of spam in email messaging systems, but will also be a novel step in the direction of trust identities and accountability in email infrastructure.

The system to be developed has been designed in order to determine the training levels of the athletes in the field of taekwondo at national and international level and to follow-up the talent development process using computer support. The progression and continuity of hit power and time-dependent performance improvement of an athlete can be measured with interactive impact measurement system. The system determines a random target. It marks the target by blue light. When the light turns on, the athlete reacts accordingly and swiftly by kicking without knowing the light timing. The athlete only needs to know where the light is. Unlike in other training systems, the piston has been able to go back and forth in response to the strike of the athlete by means of a moving hydraulic system. The athlete can be pushed back by opening the piston when his/her performance drops down. The piston strike model is deactivated when the performance of the athlete is above a given threshold value. There will be four operating phases in the mechanism depending on the impact speed of the piston. Moving target robotic system analyses various hits in Taekwondo with the aim to determine hit force and reaction time. After completion of the warming up at the first stage, the athlete will be able to increase the workout level from low to high levels and will try to keep the mechanism behind as much as possible. Moreover, the athlete will be able to compare his/her results with results of others. Using this system, the efficiency of athletes can be easily determined and deficiencies can be resolved.

Since creation of universe there has been radiation around us and this rate is getting higher with the development of technology. Thus radiation shielding becomes important subject for researcher. Besides normal people especially radiation workers in nuclear facilities need extra protection from radiation. This is vital if we think about any kind of nuclear leakage or nuclear attack, fabric becomes very important. For this purpose, cotton-polyester type of fabric has been coated by barite and gamma ray attenuation efficient has been obtained. The fabric was coated in different rate of barite (0%, 40%, 50% and 60%) in order to test effect of barite rate on the fabric. The measurement has been performed for gamma ray energy of 511, 662, and 835 keV using gamma spectrometer system with NaI(Tl) detector. It was found that the attenuation coefficient has increased with the barite coating rate on fabric.

It is extremely important to protect the human body from radioactive rays. Protective clothing can be used to absorb radiation because it is preferable to avoid the natural and artificial radiation exposure in our daily lives. There are many different types of fabric, used for clothes. In this study radiation absorbing properties of fabrics, which are widely used in the daily life, such as alpaca-type fabric, cotton fabric, cotton polyester blend fabric, woven dyed fabric and knitted fabric were examined using the image processing method.
