The presented paper describes a case of a 69-year old female with disseminated malignant melanoma without BRAF V600E mutation who was treated with nivolumab, a novel PD-1/PDL-1 monoclonal antibody and experienced an autoimmunological side effect of initial hyperthyroidism, which then transformed into hypothyroidism. The reasons of immunological side effects and current guidelines for their treatment are discussed.

W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono przypadek 69-letniej kobiety, u któ- rej w trakcie leczenia nivolumabem, nowym lekiem z grupy inhibitorów PD1/PDL-1 z powodu rozsianego czerniaka bez mutacji BRAF V600E, wystąpiły powikłania immunologiczne pod postacią zaburzeń funkcji gruczołu tarczowego. Początkowa nadczynność przeszła póź- niej w niedoczynność. Omówiono przyczyny powikłań leczenia immunologicznego oraz aktualnie obowiązujące wytyczne postępowania terapeutycznego.
