Communication with single parent of the same sex was assessed by 64 daughters and 66 sons by using the Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale (PACS). Analysis between parent’s socio-demographic characteristics and their families has showed that mothers with higher education were assessed by daughter as the most communicative and their openness was conditioned by age of adolescents and amount of siblings. In pairs father-son, increase of boys’s age causes open communication in families of younger fathers.
Celem była próba odpowiedzi na pytanie czy właściwości psychometryczne skonstruowanej skali są zadawalające. Przegląd ujmowania relacji interpersonalnych, skłonił do przyjęcia komunikowania się za parametr tych relacji. Skala Parent Adolescent Communication Scales była pierwowzorem dla konstrukcji Skali Komunikowania się Adolescentów z Rówieśnikami (SKAR), której twierdzenia przeformułowano, konstruując narzędzie do pomiaru komunikowania się adolescentów z rówieśnikami. Narzędzie weryfikowano badając 405 adolescentów pochodzących z Górnego Śląska. Rzetelność i trafność narzędzia są wysokie, SKAR może służyć do pomiaru otwartości i trudności komunikowania się adolescentów z rówieśnikami oraz wnioskowania o jakości relacji adolescenta z rówieśnikami.
The purpose of the research was to determine the relation between the quality of social support of mothers and the quality of communication with peers of the same sex. The whole study was based on assumptions that the kind and force of social support are the resilience factors in the relations of daughters with the peers of the same sex. Data was collected from a sample of 138 female pupils aged 15 and 16. Researcher employed: Scale of Social Support (SWS) and a sociometric questionnaire – Plebiscite Of Kindness and Reluctance by Korczak. The initial results of the research indicate that the quality of communication and kind of social support depend on communication with peers of the same sex.

Without a doubt relationship between Mother and Daughter is the most intense of all relationships. On the other hand, peers play a very important role in interpersonal relations during the period of adolescence. The purpose of the research was to determine the relation between the quality of communication between an adolescent daughter and the quality of communication with peers of the same sex. The data were collected from a sample of 138 female students aged 15 and 16. The researcher employed: Scale of Communication of Parents with Adolescents (PACS) and a sociometric questionnaire – Plebiscite of Kindness and Reluctance of Korczak. The initial results of the research indicate that the quality of communication between adolescent daughter and her mother is highly influenced by sociodemographic factors and communication with peers of the same sex depends on quality of relationships with mother.
