The convergence insufficiency is a common binocular vision disorder, which occurrence is evaluated for about 5% of population. Though it was described for the first time by Albrecht von Graefe in 1855, only recently have the controlled studies results on different treatment methods effectiveness come to light. This article aims to present recent ideas about convergence insufficiency non-surgical treatment that is intended for patients in all ages.

Niedomoga konwergencji to powszechne zaburzenie widzenia obuocznego, którego występowanie w populacji szacuje się na 5%. Choć zostało opisane po raz pierwszy przez Albrechta von Graefego już w 1855 r., to dopiero niedawno pojawiły się wyniki badań z grupą kontrolną nad skutecznością różnych metod terapeutycznych. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie aktualnych poglądów na zachowawcze leczenie pacjentów z niedomogą konwergencji w różnych grupach wiekowych.
