This paper presents the case of a female patient who underwent eleven revision surgeries after primary hip arthroplasty due to infection and loosening of the stem and acetabulum. We decided that in order to save the limb, it was necessary to use a total femur prosthesis. Three years’ follow-up showed that the patient was satisfied with the outcome of the surgery.

Przedstawiamy historię chorej, która po operacji pierwotnej aloplastyki stawu biodrowego, poddana była jedenastu operacjom rewizyjnym z powodu infekcji oraz obluzowań trzpienia i panewki stawu biodrowego. Celem ratowania kończyny w naszej ocenie konieczne było wszczepienie implantu typu total femur. W 3 letniej obserwacji zabieg operacyjny przyniósł satysfakcjonujący chorą wynik.
