Abstract "The horse is what everyone sees", as defined by a horse in 1746, Father Benedict Chmielowski. However, not everyone knows what makes this beautiful animal plays an invaluable role in physical recreation. Paleontologists analyzed the famous wall drawings in the caves of Pech-Marle suggests that there silhouettes of horses presented testify about the magic powers attributed to them, preventing human illness and assist its life energy. The work aims to raise awareness of people as a huge positive impact horses have on the development of children and adults at all levels of their lives and how much they can do good for them. One of the forms of contact with a horse, ride and "the life of the stable" is riding camp, which describes aspects of the job. In this paper, erected the following objectives: 1) The selection criteria for participants in specific equestrian center. 2) To investigate the involvement and the scheme of work instructors. 3) Determining the organization of free time after the completion of all activities foreseen in the camp. 4) Examine the views of children and young people about riding camps as a means of active rest. 5) Gathering information on the experiences of the respondents after their stay at the camp bonuses. 2) Zbadanie zaangażowania i systematyki pracy instruktorów.
Background. State of physical performance is one of the attributes of quality of life and the criterion of the effectiveness of treatment and rehabilitation. Prominent among the methods of rehabilitation takes balneotherapy. Data on the effect of rehabilitation in Truskavets’ spa resort on the physical performance of different groups of patients ambiguous. In a previous study we found a number of positive and negative actotropic factors. The aim of this study is to assess the influence of balneotherapy at resort Truskavets on physical performance and clarify some its mechanisms. Materials and methods. The object of observation were 29 women (average age 45 years with a range of 29-61 years) suffering from chronic cholecystitis in remission who arrived at spa Truskavets’ (Ukraine) for rehabilitation. Physical performance evaluated by veloergometry. State of central hemodynamics investigated by echocardiography. Plasma levels of hormones determined by ELISA, electrolytes by methods reflometry and spectrophotometry. Results. Ascertained increase physical performance in 48% of women, the lack of significant change in 24% and decrease in 28%. Found that changes in physical performance are accompanied concordance changes in aldosteronemia, sodium level in erythrocytes, calciumemia, enddiastolic volume of left ventricule, blood pressure and general peripheral vascular resistance while opposing changes in phosphatemia, magniumemia, activity of Na,K-ATPase of red blood cells and body mass. Conclusion. Multivariate effects of balneotherapy on physical performance due multivariate effects on electrolytes exchange and central hemodynamics.
Abstract Introduction. Today, type 2 diabetes as a problem of almost unimaginable scale requires increased vigilance doctors aim accurate diagnosis and the detection and treatment of late complications of the disease. This disease threatens people primarily in connection with its late complications of micro-and macrovascular and neuropathy, significantly impairing the quality of life of many patients. To effectively treat it alone is not enough control of hyperglycemia, the main symptom of diabetes. In connection with the development of our knowledge about this disease is increasing need for new predictive markers that would allow better detection, treatment and control of diabetes. One of them is soluble receptor for advanced glycation end products (sRAGE) which was able to significantly increase diabetic hyperglycemia. The determination of this factor may become in the future, the key to take control over the epidemic of the XXI century, which is type 2 diabetes Purpose. Effect of soluble receptor for advanced glycation end products (sRAGE) in plasma for the development of cardiovascular complications - vascular type 2 diabetes Materials and methods. Using the key words searched international bibliographic databases: Embase, Medline, ScienceDirect, Web of Sciences. We analyzed clinical trials, published in English in international journals. Results. SRAGE acts as a trap for capturing AGE and transports them from the plasma and then to the liver spleen, where they are degraded. He is a very important function to protect the system against the toxic influence of AGEs-RAGE complex. This limits the reaction cascade thus induced by binding of AGEs with their cellular receptor RAGE. In addition, sRAGE may be a useful biomarker for indicating the individual differences in susceptibility to diabetes type 2 diabetic retinopathy. Conclusions. In studies to date indicate that sRAGE a vital protective role against the toxic influence of AGEs-RAGE complex. However, we still need for further research on the potential marker and associated signaling mechanisms, because they can contribute to a better control of diabetes and to improve the prognosis and therapeutic effects. Materiały i metody. Posługując się słowami kluczowymi przeszukano zagraniczne bazy bibliograficzne: Embase, Medline, ScienceDirect, Web of Science. Wnioski. Z przeprowadzonych dotychczas badań wynika, że sRAGE pełni znaczącą rolę ochronną przed toksycznym wpływem kompleksów RAGE-AGE. Jakkolwiek, wciąż potrzeba dalszych badań nad tym potencjalnym markerem i związanymi z nim mechanizmami sygnałowymi, ponieważ mogą się one przyczynić do lepszej kontroli cukrzycy oraz poprawy rokowania i efektów terapeutycznych.
Ergototherapy is a valuable addition to kinesiotherapy, especially at further stages of improvement. Its one of the basic tasks is to facilitate basic manual activities by skillfully selecting occupations and working methods. On the other hand, its intentional and planned effect is to improve the fitness of the body by increasing the range of movements in the joints, increasing the strength of the muscles, and improving the coordination and the manual ability of the hand. One of the methods of ergoterapeutic birds is gardening classes. These classes give you the opportunity to work in different work positions, engage different muscle groups, and require strength and knowledge. The aim of this paper is to present possible methods of ergotherapeutic work in the garden in patients with spasticity of upper limbs.
Abstract Introduction. Alzheimer's disease is a chronic, progressive, neurodegenerative disease of the brain initially runs with disorders of higher cortical function, leading to dementia and a complete failure. Introduction: The presence of background HCV infection cannot be overestimated in view of the prevalence of chronic hepatitis C and the risk of adverse outcomes of this disease. Purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the combined use of antiviral therapy (Roferon + Vero-Ribavirin) and resort factors in patients with chronic hepatitis C in the phase of replication. Material and methods: We observed 48 patients with chronic hepatitis C; the minimum level of activity of the process defined the phase of replication. Markers of HCV infection were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) (a-HCV and HCV-Ig M). HCV RNA was determined twice by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Genotyping of hepatitis C virus was performed. Biochemical blood analysis and the study of HCV infection markers were carried out four times. Results of therapy were assessed immediately after the end of the resort (spa) treatment, then at 3, 6 and 12 months after starting treatment. At 12 months after starting treatment, all the observed patients had persistent clinical and biochemical remission. Elimination of the virus from the blood was noted in 56% of the control group and 74% of patients in the study group. Conclusions: For patients with moderately active HCV, the replication phase was characterized by asthenic-vegetative syndrome (100% of patients) with severe depression (22.92%), pain (77.08%) and dyspeptic syndrome (33.33%), moderate hypertransferaseemia (100%), slightly pronounced cholestasis (33% of patients), and signs of mesenchymal- inflammatory response.
