The body adopts the specific contents, functions, and places of the axiological system in persons with a disability. It can adopt the contents of ultimate, instrumental, vital, utilitarian, cultural, moral, religious, and other values. It can represent, for example, cognitive, judging, motivating, and expressive functions. Moreover, the body itself can take a central or peripheral place. It is the recognition of these various contents, functions and places of the body in the axiological system of disabled persons that allows us to identify their needs and goals, as well as to assess the methods of achieving them. Therefore, it is through this knowledge that we can understand an individual with a disability in the widest possible context, which takes into account the biological, psychological and social dimensions of their behavior.

Odpowiedzialność fizjoterapeuty jest nierozerwalnie związana z jego czynnościami zawodowymi, prawnymi oraz wartościami moralnymi, wyznaczając najszersze granice jego funkcjonowania. Określa zarówno interes własny pracownika, interes zakładu pracy, społeczeństwa, ale przede wszystkim uwzględnia potrzeby drugiego człowieka - pacjenta.

The objective of the paper is to present an analysis of the concept of responsibility which is a crucial element of the Code of Ethics of the Physiotherapist of the Republic of Poland. Responsibility of the physiotherapist is inseparably tied to his/her professional, legal and moral activities and determines the broadest limits of his/her functioning. Responsibility defines the interest of the employee, the interest of the workplace and of society, but above all it allows one to take into account the needs of another person - the patient.

Systemy wartości osób z niepełnosprawnością odwzorowują ich funkcjonowanie, uwzględniające nie tylko uwarunkowania psychofizyczne, ale również determinanty społeczno-kulturowe. Badania struktury tych systemów mogą być prowadzone pod względem rodzaju, miejsca, treści poszczególnych wartości, a także ich funkcji. Najbardziej adekwatną metodą w tego typu badaniach jest metoda biograficzna, która pozwala uchwycić znaczną ilość różnorodnych doświadczeń osobistych, wchodzących w sieć relacji, zależności oraz oddziaływań wzajemnych między składnikami systemu, jak i systemem jako całością. Badania systemów wartości osób z niepełnosprawnością mogą poprawić funkcjonowanie samych niepełnosprawnych, jak i ich relacje z innymi jednostkami oraz instytucjami społecznymi.

The systems of values of people with disability reflect their entire functioning which takes into account not only psychophysical conditions but also socio-cultural determinants. Research into the structure of those systems can be carried out with regard to the kind, place and content of the values in question as well as their function. The most adequate method in this kind of research is biographical method, which allows one to capture a significant number of various personal experiences inscribed into a net of relationships, dependencies and mutual influences among the parts of the system as well as between the parts and the system as the whole. Reserarch into the systems of values of the people with disability could improve the functioning of the disabled themselves and their relations with other individuals and social institutions.
