The aim of the paper is to present a technique of reconstructing data received from a wireless sensor for measuring intraocular pressure. The algorithm was developed to automatically regenerate samples lost due to fortuitous events in clinical trials. The test consisted in measuring the pressure within 24 h, during which the intraocular pressure curve were determined. The paper also discusses the structure and the physical basis of sensor operation and shows the advantages resulting from its use.

The aim of the article is to present the developed technique to measure the degree of neovascularisation of the cornea image in visible light. The study used an image sensor attached to a slit lamp. The proposed technique consists in performing segmentation of the color image to enhance blood vessels and setting values of the degree of cornea neovascularisation. Comparison of the indicator before and after treatment of the cornea can objectively assess the effectiveness of the adopted method of treatment.

Meibomian gland dysfunction is one of the most common eye disorders observed in clinical practice. It applies to almost 50% of the population, especially people using contact lenses. It is believed that meibomian gland dysfunction is the most common cause of abnormal stability and integrity of the tear film. Despite this, there is no commercially available equipment for the diagnosis. The article proposes the construction of an optical sensor and a computer system for the rapid, non-invasive diagnosis of meibomian gland dysfunction. The designed hardware and software as well as preliminary results of clinical research are also described.

A cataract is an opacity (clouding) of the normally clear lens which develops as a result of aging, metabolic disorders, trauma or heredity. The number of patients with cataract is increasing exponentially. This disease requires surgical intervention, to remove the cloudy lens and to introduce the eye lens polymer. In this work we will present analyses of degraded parts of human lens. Experimental materials were obtained from the lens removed during surgical intervention. These biological samples were measured using Almega XR Confocal Raman spectrometer (Thermo Scientific) with an excitation source of 785 nm laser line. The Raman vibrations in the spectral region of 650-1750 cm¯¹ were analyzed. The difference spectra revealed an excess of tryptophan, tyrosine, phenylalanine, β-sheet conformation, and molecules or molecular groups.
