The Tagish Lake meteorite fell in Canada (in British Columbia) in January 2000. It was classified as a peculiar carbonaceons chondrite – C2 not belonging to any of known chemistry groups. The report discusses the investigation of the Tagish Lake meteorite organic matter. The investigation confirmed that Tagish Lake meteorite contains a completely new previously unknown meteoritic matter.

Meteoryt Tagish Lake spadł w 2000 r. w Kanadzie (Kolumbia Brytyjska). Tagish Lake został sklasyfikowany jako nietypowy chondryt węglisty – C2, niemieszczący się w żadnej ze znanych grup chemicznych. W referacie omówiono badania związków organicznych tego meteorytu. Wyniki tych badań potwierdziły, że meteoryt Tagish Lake jest zupełnie nowym, nieznanym dotąd rodzajem materii meteorytowej.
