In the course of our investigation on electrochemical synthesis the electrochemical méthoxylation of isopulegole (̲1) and α-pinene (̲2) was carried out. In the case of ̲1 product obtained was a very complex mixture with 3,4-dimethoxy- p-8(9)-menthene (3) as the major component. The méthoxylation of ̲2 yields sobrerol dimethyl diether [6,8-dimethoxy-p-l(2)-methane] (̲4) as the major component. The electrochemical methoxylatiorn of 3-carene, α-pinene or limonene gives in the described conditions a mixture of several compounds difficult to separate into indyvidual components.

The formation of mixed ligand complexes of Co (II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) with thiosalicylicacid H₂SR and diethylenetriamine E in aqueous ethanol (50% v/v) was investigated by the potentiometric method at 298 and 313 K. The thermodynamic functions ∆F°, ∆H° and ∆S° have been evaluated.

Przy użyciu metod potencjometrycznych badano powstawanie mieszanych kompleksów Co(II), Ni(II) i Zn(II) z kwasem tiosalicylowym (H₂SR) i dietylenotriaminą (E ) w roztworach etanolowo-wodnych (5D% v/v } w temp. 298 i 313 K. Obliczono towarzyszące powstawaniu kompleksów zmiany funkcji termodynamicznych: ∆F°, ∆H° i ∆S°.

Strong adsorption properties of 8-hydroxy-l,2-naphthoquinone- 3,6-disulfonic acid on mercury electrode, which have been found previously, are now used up practically. These properties give rise to changes in the reduction of oxygen on that electrode. This fact allowed to develope an electrochemical mediatory preparation of H₂O₂ using redox pair HNQ/HNQH₂ of the reagent under investigation.

Wykorzystano, stwierdzone wcześniej, silne własności adsorpcyjne kwasu B-hydroksy-l, 2-naftochinono-3, 6-disulfonowego (HNQ) na elektrodzie rtęciowej. Zbadano wpływ tego odczynnika na polarograficzną redukcję tlenu. Umożliwiło to opracowanie elektrochemicznego, mediacyjnego otrzymywania H₂O₂ z wykorzystaniem pary redox HNQ/HNQH₂ badanego odczynnika.
