In Poland nearly ali atlantic peat-bog species are to different degrees threatened with extinction and require protection. The choice of conservation method, whether through strict or partial reservation, should depend on a naturalness degree of the communities in which each of the species occurs. A number of reserves has to be adequate to a rarity degree of a species as well as to its caryologic variability and phytocoenotic scale.
