In this paper possibility of application two-dimensional vector Preisach model for bulk materials was investigated. Physical magnetization mechanisms in bulk cores and thin ribbons were analyzed. Model is based on collection of the Preisach planes which describe material state in different angles on rotation plane. Presented model exhibits good conformity with experimental data for bulk as well for ribbon shaped cores. Model includes anisotropy and describes not only mean magnetization vector, but also distribution of magnetic moments for different angles.

This paper presents results of tests performed on magnetostrictive delay line concerning its change in properties during temperature changes. Results indicate that an increase in temperature causes a decrease in wave amplitude and increase in the speed of propagation. The material used for the magnetostrictive delay line was an amorphous steel alloy of Fe-Si-B in tape form.

In this paper the innovative method of microforce measurement based on air gap influence on magnetic circuits properties is presented. Magnetic ribbon core with air gap is put under transverse compressive stress perpendicular to the magnetic field direction generated by low-mass calibration weight. Change of the air gap induced by the force acting on the core causes change of its magnetic parameters. The possibility of utilization of various magnetic amorphous materials is investigated. Obtained results indicate a possibility of application of the developed sensor in microforce measurements.

The paper presents automatic and modular measurement station for the magnetic materials testing. It allows for measurements of magnetic hysteresis loops under various regimes (sine, triangle or arbitrary magnetizing field, sine or triangle magnetic flux density) and relative permeability curves. The modular nature of the system allows for measurements of magnetic parameters under additional external influences, such as temperature and stress. The system is currently used for measurements of ferrite materials parameters.
