The cropfield flora of three physical-geographical units of northern Poland has been classified according to the endangerraent categories used in the Polish Red Book of Plants (Zarzycki, Kaźmierczakowa 1993). The largest number of weeds that are endangered or vulnerable are found in the Lower Vistula Valley. They include: Adonis aestivalis, Anagallis arvensis, Camelina microcarpa, Euphorbia exigua, Fumaria vaillantii, Holosteum umbellatum, Ranunculus arvensis, Sherardia arvensis and Veronica opaca. In the Elbląg Elevations Spergula arvensis ssp. maxima has become extinct, and the following are vulnerable: Agrostemma githago, Anagallis arvensis, Dromus secalinus, Camelina microcarpa, Geranium dissectum, Holosteum umbellatum and Veronica opaca. In the Charzykowy Plain Agrostemma githago, Anagallis arvensis and Camelina microcarpa are endangered by extinction.
