On the basis of preliminary phycological analysis 122 taxa of algae were identified in seven selected natural field and midforest water bodies on the southern border of Swiecie Height. Green algae Chlorophyta belonging to the genus Volvox which caused blooms in some field ponds and Euglenophyta belonging to the genus Trachelomonas causing blooms in one of the midforest reservoirs studied were the prevailing groups. Owing to both algal and phytosociological analysis of vascular flora in the context of physicochemical conditions, it was possible to determine the structure of phycoflora differentiation and the trophy of the surveyed astatic reservoirs in relation to water level fluctuations in permanent and periodic water bodies.
