Summary. People with anorexic tendencies exercise ceaseless control over their body and treat it as an object. So enslaved organisms become means that fulfill certain functions. That may lead to extreme strive for successes. In view of these information, it was attempted (1) to recover source of achievement motivation among anorexia readiness syndrome components and (2) to circumscribe a structure of achievement motivation in young women with the anorexia readiness syndrome. The study was carried out on 203 girls (16 to 20 years of age). Among them 31 girls were defined as having anorexia readiness syndrome. It turned out that (1) are numerous associations between achievement motivation components and anorexia readiness syndrome components and that (2) girls with anorexia tendencies are a far cry from their peers in domination, status orientation, competitiveness, braveness, engagement and ambition.
