This paper is a study of diversity and seasonal abundance of soil inhabiting arthropod fauna and their interrelationships with the edaphic factors like temperature, moisture and pH in flower garden, vegetable garden and uncultivated area dominated by weeds in Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Campus, Narendrapur, South - 24 Parganas, West Bengal. The soil arthropods were collected with the help of Berlese-Tullgren funnels. Altogether, 591 arthropods belonging to 7 different groups viz., Acarina, Arachnida, Collembola, Coleoptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera and Psocoptera were extracted from each of the three plots every month during the entire survey period (August 2018 – July 2019). Microarthropod abundance was found to be greater in uncultivated areas (266 individuals) as compared to that of the flower and vegetable gardens where different agronomic practices are adopted and traditional means of garden nurturing viz. tilling, raking, weeding, etc. are followed. Of the total population in all three plots, mites were the most dominant group (37.06%), followed by ants (25.21%) & springtail (19.29%) populations. Soil arthropods populations are greater in the monsoon season (227 individuals), followed by premonsoon (188 individuals) & postmonsoon (176 individuals).

Limnological parameter promotes ecological diversity and acts as major key factors of the water body. The portability of water can be determined by planktonic and fish diversity in that water body. Mount Abu (Arbudanchal) is also referred as a place with abode of Gods as it is sated with devotion of all faith. The research site Sant-Sarover Pond has a mythological importance among the localised. In the weather cycle of monsoon (2018), the specific status of limnological characteristic, planktonic diversity and ichthyofauna of Sant-Sarover Pond have been studied through top and bottom water samples. The Limnological parameters of Sant-Sarover Pond showed low mean values including hardness (104.83 mg/l) and TDS (142.0 mg/l)) with optimum alkaline water (pH 7.12), and alkalinity of (98.50 mg/l) Secchi Depth of 80 cm. The average nitrate and sulphate levels were 28.57 mg/l and 122.28 mg/l while average dissolved oxygen levels were at 5.45 mg/l respectively. Based on the results of limnological parameters of water, Sant-Sarover Pond is eutrophic.

The evidence of Cross River State in Nigeria as a global visual cultural, biodiversity and wildlife tourism distinction located in West Africa is presented using photo-inventory. A socio-scientific photo-sourcing and explanation was carried out. The ancient city of Calabar that received early Christian missionaries to Nigeria is the capital of Cross River State in Nigeria, West Africa now host the Africa’s annual biggest street party (Calabar carnival). The ancient house of Mary Mitchell Slessor a Scottish missionary to Nigeria who stopped the ancient practice of killing of twins and multiple births built in 1848, stands in Calabar as a monument that attracts tourists from all parts of the world. The international Ekpe masquerade, boat and canoe race in Calabar, lebuko new yam festival in Ugep, Central Cross River are tourists attracted festivals. Being home of tropical forest with rare biodiversity added with wildlife, some mammals as endangered Gorilla, drill, chimpanzee and African black elephants, including different species of African Primates are seen in the protected zones of the National Park and Afi Wildlife Sanctuary. Photos of numerous huge ancient carved and engraved standing stones (Monoliths) dating back to 1200 BC are found in about 30 communities in Ikom, the Central part of Cross River State of Nigeria. Spectacular natural waterfalls for relaxation are in existence. The Obudu mountain Resort city exhibit the four weather type witness in Europe and America. The Resort is located on a mountain 1600 m high in the Northern Cross River State. Photos of the winding road from the bottom of the mountain to the top and nature dug swimming pools are places to visit.
