Cel badania: Ocena komfortu nowej jednodniowej soczewki silikonowo-hydrożelowej wykonanej z materiału delefilcon A. Materiał i metody: Do badania zostały włączone 153 osoby. Pacjentów poproszono o wypełnienie przygotowanych ankiet, w których oceniali w skali od 1 (niezadowalający) do 5 pkt (bardzo zadowalający) komfort zaraz po aplikacji soczewek. Następnego dnia zostali poproszeni telefonicznie o odpowiedź na te same pytania w celu dokonania oceny komfortu pod koniec dnia. W przypadku dotychczasowych użytkowników soczewek kontaktowych te same pytania dotyczyły poprzednich soczewek kontaktowych. Wyniki: Średnia ocena soczewek z materiału delefilcon A wyniosła 4,58 pkt i była wyższa od średniej oceny dotychczasowych soczewek – 4,11 pkt. Duża różnica w średnich ocenach nastąpiła podczas oceny komfortu pod koniec dnia: 4,49 pkt vs 3,83 pkt na korzyść nowej jednodniowej soczewki kontaktowej. Wnioski: Soczewki wykonane z materiału delefilcon A zapewniają stały wysoki komfort użytkowania podczas całego dnia.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the comfort of the new delefilcon A daily disposable water gradient contact lenses. Material and methods: 153 volunteers were included in the study. After the application of new daily disposable contact lenses, patients were asked to fill the questionnaire in which they assessed the comfort in the scale from 1 (unsatisfied) to 5 (very satisfied). On the next day, they were asked to assess the comfort at the end of the day (1 to 5 points). Existing lens wearers rated also their previous contact lenses. Results: The average score of delefilcon A contact lenses was established at the level of 4.58 points, while the average score of the habitual lenses was 4.11 points. At the end of the day, comfort assessment of delefilcon A contact lenses was also higher – 4.49 vs. 3.83 points. Conclusion: Delefilcon A daily disposable water gradient contact lenses offers stable high comfort level through the whole day of use.
