Selektywna trabekuloplastyka laserowa (SLT, selective laser trabeculoplasty) jest bezpieczną, nieinwazyjną i efektywną metodą obniżenia ciśnienia śródgałkowego w różnych postaciach jaskry z otwartym kątem przesączania i w nadciśnieniu ocznym.

Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is relatively safe, non-invasive and effective procedure which may be carried out in outpatient clinic to lower the intraocular pressure. It is indicated in patients with different types of open angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It may be repeated several times over the same area of iridocorneal angle since causing no coagulation effects and there are no any persistent morphological changes of the trabecular meshwork observed.Effectiveness of this procedure varies in different patients and may be dependent on several factors, including iridocorneal angle pigmentation, baseline pressure, concomitant topical therapy and other individual conditions.
