Rembrandt to jeden z najsłynniejszych malarzy barokowych, który przedstawiał rzeczywistość tak, jak ją widział. W jego twórczości znajdujemy obrazy przedstawiające sceny medyczne, jak również obrazy ukazujące kobiety z guzami piersi. W pracy autor omawia obrazy Betsabe wychodzi z kąpieli i Święta Rodzina, na których kobiety zostały przedstawione z guzami piersi.

Rembrandt is one of the most famous baroque painter. He depicted the reality the very way he perceived it. In his works we can easily find paintings presenting medical scenes as well as works clearaly showing women with breast tumours. In the following work the author discusses Bathsheba at her bath and Holly Family, on which the women presented suffer from breast cancer.
