Przedstawiono wyniki i profil bezpieczeństwa laserowych metod korekcji starczowzroczności.

The paper reports an overview of the currently available and registered laser platforms to treat presbyopia. A close attention has been paid to monovision as the most popular treatment method across the world. Postoperative limitations and preoperative criteria, including ocular dominance, form part of this report. Differences between the regular monovision and the novel micromonovision protocols (Laser Blended Vision) have been emphasised. Various multifocal ablation protocols have been described with their limitations and possible side effects. As with every treatment modality, safety and efficacy play important roles, and the article presents the available data concerning both of the parameters.
