Determination of oxygen affinity and allosteric parameters of respiratory proteins

Abstracts

EN
Oxygen affinity of respiratory proteins is characterized by three parameters: P50, n, K (terms of the Hill plot).
They are derived from oxygen dissociation curves determined usually by
the spectrophotometric method.
The allosteric properties of respiratory proteins are examined by comparing
the experimental data to MWC model. A computer program was written and the program calculated the rood mean square deviation between the data
points (Amstrad CPC 464).
From the lower and upper asymptotes of the Hill plots the 1CK and K1
values could be obtained as a first approximation. The computer-fitting
program allowed to determine the allosteric parameters.
