Macromycetes belong to the organisms converting plant materials containing significant amounts of lignocellulose. Properly selected ingredients of breeding-ground and techniques of field-crop production allow to obtain food protein in the form of mushroom fruiting bodies or mycelium biomass. Both fruiting bodies and mycelium biomass can be used for further biotechnological converting to obtain biologically active substances.
