The review presents the properties and significance of soluble forms of Tumor Necrosis Factor-alfa receptors in physiology and pathology of human organism. Special attention was turned to the possibility of practical application of those forms of the receptors in the therapy of diseases caused by excessive activity of TNF-alfa.
