This paper deals with intermodal interference of lowest-order modes in a hollow core optical waveguide investigated theoretically and experimentally. We describe detection and excitation methods for investigation of intermodal interference in the spectral and spatial domains in the presented waveguide. In addition an analytical expression for the description of measured dependencies is also presented.
